Lynn Cottor
Dog Behaviorist
We provide dog boarding in our home. A kennel free
environment. A fenced back yard. Daily 45 minute
walks. Structured activities such as fetch day and
night with glow in the dark balls. Dogs are supervised
at all times. They become socialized with our balanced
obedient dogs. They sleep wherever they would in
their own home. Some sleep in dog beds, some on
our couch and some on the floor and some even in
one of our two king size beds. There is a doggy door
for the larger dogs which can be closed for the
smaller dogs. We have hanging bells for them to ring.
All smaller dogs will have an escort while in the
backyard for their safety.
If permitted all dogs will receive healthy organic treats
and cooked chicken, beef and buffalo. A healthy food
analysis of your current food will also be provided.
Training & Boarding
We provide one on one evaluation and training for
your dog(s) and family. We give you the information
and instruction on how to become your dogs pack
leader. We are educated in Cesar Millan's "The Dog
Whisperer's" techniques. We implement his formula;
exercise, discipline and then my favorite, affection.
Establishing your position as the leader is key. Any
dog can learn to sit & laydown in obedience training.
But dogs may still have behavior issues. Such as
chewing, barking, jumping, marking and biting. These
issues can be resolved. Your dog can become
balanced. That is why we build on leadership training
with traditional basic obedience training. We use
positive reinforcement and several aversion methods
to achieve optimal results. Every dog and client is
different so each program will be customized. We will
teach you to better understand your canine. Call for
evaluation 480-332-0740.

SABLE
Lela Jameson
Sable was a beautiful, sweet, smart German Shepherd girl who was living a hard life with a homeless man and two other dogs. They lived in one half of a double wide mobile home with no electricity and no running water. The yard was unfenced so she wandered the streets at will. Summer had arrived in Phoenix and she had no respite from the heat. A very kind lady named Carolann rescued her and brought her to a foster mom.
When the foster mom first saw Sable, she wasn’t sure if this weak girl could be saved, but thankfully she was. All she needed was a safe, cool home to live in, lots of fresh water and regular meals of quality food. What a beauty Sable was once she recovered! Her eyes sparkled, her hair shone and you could tell she was happy to be alive.
Later on, this sweet girl was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis and had sudden bouts of bloody diarrhea. They didn’t last long because the medicine cleared up the symptoms within a few days and she was back to her normal self.
Sable played well with all the other dogs and developed a close friendship with a big, black pit bull boy named Voodoo. They were wonderful playmates who had lots of fun running around the large backyard, and when they came in for a drink, they were side by side at the big water bowl with their tails wagging.
The foster mom married, and they decided to adopt Sable because they loved her so very much. As the years marched on, Sable developed problems with her hind end which medicine could only help to a certain degree. One morning she was fine and playing happily with Voodoo. By late that afternoon, she could not get to her feet. When her parents tried to help her with a towel slung under her belly, she cried out in pain. After a night of total crate rest, she was no better and the painful decision was made to send her to the Bridge. The vet agreed that it was the only humane choice, so sweet beautiful Sable crossed over peacefully with her parents by her side.

Buddy
Stacey & Terry Jones
We Are Terry & Stacey, Parents of Buddy the Rescue dog. 03/30/2019
Carolann came to us in June of 2013 and asked us if we would consider fostering a dog. Buddy was 45 pounds of black dirt rescued from a homeless man living on the streets in Laveen, Az. We were a little scared of him at first, his eyes looked like he was unhappy. We buried our beloved Sassy in March of 2012 and were not sure we were ready to bring another dog into our home, but Carolann was very persuasive and we relented. Buddy had never been inside a house his whole life, we thought he was about a year old at this time. It took some talking and treats to get him in but once he was in, he didn’t want to go out. I (Terry) had just retired so I spent a lot of time with Buddy. In no time we were best of Buds. We had a couple come to see Buddy after a couple weeks to maybe adopt him, but they wanted a smaller dog. 3 weeks went by and Stacey told me that Carolann was bringing another couple over to see Buddy and I said he isn’t up for adoption, HE IS OURS.
He has fit into our family perfectly. He learned the dog door without any training and has never had an accident in the house. He is my traveling Buddy and friend. He doesn’t care for other dogs but tolerates his new little sister Riley The DEVIL CHILD Sheltie. Although they really do get along very well. Buddy now tips the scale @ 70 pounds and still fits through the little dog door. He keeps me company at the cabin and LOVES, LOVES, LOVES it up there. We can’t thank Carolann enough for all she does for her dog rescue. She has made our life, and Buddy’s a whole lot better.
WE ARE FOSTER FAILURES AND VERY HAPPY ABOUT IT !!!!
Thanks, Carolann…
Penny
Shelley & Daniel Lopez
Meet Penny, this little girl stole our hearts! We recently lost our other baby girl Princess to Congenital Heart Failure, this was a huge heart break to us, after about 6 months I seen Penny aka LuckyLady on FB from 1 dog at a time rescue... Penny was located in Arizona and homeless she needed a foster or a fur ever home. After contacting Carolann she offered to meet us half way in Blithe, from the moment we met her she was just the sweetest girl! It only took a few days and we knew she was destined to be a Lopez! The rest is history!
